I called for an elderly neighbor whose furnace needed checked out. The technician was there for less than two hours and the charge was over 1600.00 dollars.

No parts were replaced this was for labor and diagnostics. 800.00 an hour...... I called and the owner told me that they could have told him he needed a new furnace for over 10000.00 and that they were honest and if i complained he would file slander charges. He also said that he won a case recently for 1 million dollars on slander charges.

What is going on in this selfish world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To take advantage of a man in his late 70's . SHAME ON U waldron

Monetary Loss: $1650.

Location: Cumberland, Maryland

Again, this is true - Tom will tell you he will sue you, he will tell you he has been sued and won MANY cases.... Tom will tell you his work is the best ever. Tom's contract states you are not permitted to file a complaint with the BBB or he will sue you .... You will regret the situation for years.

This is very serious. I can not tell you just how dangerous this company is. Please go to the attorney general, visit Angies' List, and google Waldren - never deal with this company.

Please note, Tom Waldren is a paralegal who loves to write threatening letters. He also has a friend / attorney who will contact you threatening judgments on your home. This man is unbalanced and this is no laughing matter.

Waldron Electric came today and in stalled two light fixtures in my kitchen and one in the dining room. I had three estimates from other electricians but the other companies never would keep the appointment.

I called Waldron after seeing their TV commercial and they did come out the same day, did the work, stuck to their price the gave me before they started the work and completed the job. Now I finally have excellent lights in the main living area and kitchen! The prices were competitive, and the actually showed up to do the work.

We are very pleased and It was a pleasure working with Tom and his guys. real nice guys, even helped me fix a computer problem that I was having!

Tom has so very many complaints against him at this point in time that he has no choice than to do a few good jobs - or he is sick enough to write these "good" situations himself.

I used Waldron before...how did they rip you off? I knew ALL the prices UPFRONT, it was after hours when they came to my place but the tech showed up within 1 hour and I knew what the trip charge was before they got here, I received a price before they did diagnostic testing, and I knew the price and had to SIGN for it before the tech did the work...it isn't like they do the testing and repair then give a price, you failed to tell everyone that xtragold didn't you?

see that's the problem with people today...they don't want to pay but they want someone to show up with a driving parts van at 1am but they want to pay pennysaver handyman prices for a experienced tech...I wish they had a website to tell everyone about the good that company's like Waldron do...and by the way last time I checked there is NO price limit for providing service, if I buy a bottle of pop in a machine for $1.55 when I can get a 6 pack for $2.50 should I complain to the machine owner about him making a profit?? or should everyone work for what you and the back yard handyman that has a 1979 ford van and no liability insurance, health and dental, workmans comp insurance?????

Anyone who knows Tom, knows that this was written by Tom himself. Anytime you see a comment like this:

if I buy a bottle of pop in a machine for $1.55 when I can get a 6 pack for $2.50 should I complain to the machine owner about him making a profit?? or should everyone work for what you and the back yard handyman that has a 1979 ford van and no liability insurance, health and dental, workmans comp insurance?????

Bottom line, when charging for a service, do not tell a consume the insurance company will pay. And when performing the work - please question why the quote in the secret three ring binder Tom carries will vary from any other quote by thousands.

That was written by Tom and can be seen in the letters he probably spends all day writing.

Waldron Electric also ripped off an elderly couple that I know, they charged over $500 dollars for two minutes of work.

The definition of RIP Off is taking the money and running. it doesn't sound Like the poster of this complaint was the actual customer.Nothing takes two minutes, and $500.00 is not uncommon or out of the ball part to repair a furnace especially on a weekend or emergency basis.

And here is another example of Tom writings... here he defines RIP OFF for us.

Contact the Attorney General, Angie's List, and Google Tom before having him do work on your home.

Please note that an emergency situation with Tom mean the normal price multiplied by 5.

Waldron is a bunch if crooks. They have shady pricing procedures. Do not hire unless you like throwing money away

Please contact the Attorney General, Angie's List, and Google Tom before inviting him into your home. It's nice that Mark here has never had a problem - but keep reading there are more who have had a problem than the few that haven't.

I have used Waldron Electric several times, they have always been very straight forward and clear with me on their prices. I pay it and they do the work.

Works out well for me every time.

The best thing is, I can count on them to actually show up to do the work.

I like that their reliable. I'm not afraid to pay people to work in my home for a good job as long as I get my monies worth.

I love to throw money away, What's their number? LOL..

At least they answer the phone and show up and do a good job every time I call. I used them a few times, they're a little expensive, so what,no one works for free these days, but they are ALWAYS reliable.

When I want my furnace fixed I don't care what it costs, Waldron has always got me out of a jam. I know I can count on them, so I will continue to call them for all my needs.

Sounds like yet another response from Tom himself. Tom and crew will ALWAYS show up - the rating for response time is A+++. It is nice that folks out there do not care how much it costs and that they obviously have an unlimited amount of funds to pay for Tom.

Contact the Attorney General, Angies List, and Google Tom before invited him into your home.

We have used Waldron Electric several times. Never had a problem with them.

We felt prices were always fair for the work performed. The Better Business Bureau rates them "A" so we have no reservations about calling them.

Do you really trust the people that work for you Tom? Do you really trust them to keep your secrets when they face imprisonment?

One thing you really don't know is that your technicians make a deliberate attempt to distance themselves from you when doing their job. And I quote one technician "I'm not the one who makes the prices".
